Where do you fit?
See what decides finals: how each athlete is wired, what they have built, and the gap between.
Coach pathway →Train your mental game like a skill. Parents, your lane starts here too.
Athlete pathway →A measurable coach-capability and athlete-wellbeing program, funded by grants you can already access.
Institute pathway →Deliver the world-first Sports Competence Certification under your own brand or ours.
Partner pathway →The problem
Every coach knows this athlete. Brilliant at training, brittle on game day. Physically ready, mentally somewhere else. You are told to "build resilience" or "work on focus", but nobody hands you a starting point, a measure, or a method.
Most sports profiling tools do not help much either. They tell you an athlete's behavioural style, hand over a PDF, and stop. Style is useful, but style is not the whole story. Two athletes with identical profiles can perform completely differently, because one has built the mental skills to manage themselves under pressure and the other has not.
The missing piece is not more data about how athletes are wired. It is knowing which mindset skills they have developed, which they have not, and what to do about it next Tuesday at training.
The method
The Sports Behavioural Assessment measures how an athlete naturally behaves. The Sports Competence report measures the 18 Mindset Competences they have built.
Sports18 combines the two, so you see mindset and behaviour side by side, and exactly where natural wiring and developed skill do not yet match.
Reports come with a human debrief, not just a PDF. Athletes get practical next steps. Coaches get trained to read results and coach to them.
Sleep, nutrition, mood and journalling feed insight over time, so patterns show up before they become problems.
Point of difference
Plenty of tools give athletes a behavioural or style profile, a one-off snapshot, and stop there. Athlete Insights measures mindset competence, shows the gap with Sports18, and coaches it, training the coach as well as the athlete.
Know how they're wired.
Measure what they've built.
Coach the gap.

Behind Athlete Insights
Kylie Ellwood is one of only two Extended DISC Master Trainers in Australia, and built the Sports Competence methodology with Jukka Sappinen of Extended DISC International. Natasha Coughlan is a sport performance and wellbeing coach who has spent years supporting athletes through the pressure of high performance and the scholarship pathway. Two different doors into the same belief: athletes fail for want of support, not for want of talent.
